The other day, I get this disturbing email:
Dear "DoubleFly,"
As your recent [ewallet] withdrawal [transaction #] of [dollar amount] was not received into your nominated bank account we will be putting it shortly under the “Uncleared Balance” to your [ewallet] Account [account number].
We are communicating with our bank to find out where your funds are currently located and why they have not been processed. The funds were transmitted by us in good faith through a major European bank, and have left our account. We understand that the money has been frozen in the US banking system, and you will appreciate that this is entirely beyond our control.
We fully acknowledge you are the rightful owner of these funds. We will fully support you recover these funds and provide further details as soon as we can assist.
Any remaining funds in your [ewallet] account can still be used to purchase at [ewallet] accepting sites. In addition we are working hard to reinstate our withdrawal facility and so when this is in place you will be able to make a new withdrawal.
Please be assured these remaining funds in your [ewallet] account are safe and secure and we appreciate your continued support. We apologise for the inconvenience that this delay has caused you.
[ewallet] Support Team
So my paraphrased response: "WTF are you talking about? The money's been sitting in my bank for almost a week."
Their paraphrased reply: "Oops. My bad. Pretend we never sent that email."
Then I find out that my ewallet is no longer a viable withdrawal option any more. So I'm just left with checks. How's my check withdrawal going? Well, it's been 13 days and I'm still "pending approval." Apparently, it can take "several weeks" for an approval, and I'm guessing since that ewallet probably got some funds seized, it'll take even longer now. Thanks DOJ. In lieu of my next quarterly tax payment, I'll just send you a case of butt plugs.
Anyway, it looks like it'll be a continual struggle trying to get money off the sites. But Hey! I'm freerolling, baby!
