Ah... another positive month in the books. But this was a pretty crappy month - I didn't get a chance to play much, I made a bunch of -ev plays in large pots, and I ran below average. Meh. I also played a bunch of hands at 1/2 when I didn't feel like playing, just to get in my Ironman for the day (since I knew I would be away for 10 days). Even that didn't go so well. Oh well.
I can't believe it, but I actually "made weight" this month. I'm now a svelte 253.7!!! Since I had gained a few pounds on my 10 day trip, I didn't think I could lose over a pound a day, but I did. And I didn't do anything cheezy like get in a sweat suit and try and dehydrate my way to the weight loss. Altho I guess on a lot of "food diets," most of the early weight loss is mostly "water." Anyway, I'm just going to do this low carb diet for 1-2 more weeks and gradually add back some of the healthier carbs. Also, I'm going to have a ton of manual labor (packing, cleaning) to do related to the move, so I should be getting plenty of physical activity.
WHAT'S FOR DINNER
One of the great things about being on a low carb diet is that you get... as Men the Master would say, "all you can eat, baby!" And of awesome foods like this Stockyards bone-in PRIME dry aged ribeye. Normally, I guess my starch of choice would have been a mashed potato, but hey! when you have a *10*, who cares about pointy elbows? God! So awesome with a nice red wine... Speaking of which, a glass of wine right now sounds awesome...
