I'm still trying to recover from my food orgy last week so that I can get ready for the second wave of the food this weekend.  My sister is coming up today to help us get ready for a linner party on Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday, we're expecting over 30 people and Sunday, we are expecting over 15 people.  So we went to Costco and got tons of spare ribs, baby back ribs, chicken wings and kielbasa.  Due to my smoking ineptitude, I think we're going to bake the ribs in the oven first to get them tender and then smoke them.  We'll see how this goes.  Also on the menu is a whole bunch of appetizers and sides / veggies crap I usually don't concern myself with.

But the item I'm really looking forward to is grilled wagyu skirt steak.  Wagyu is the same breed of cattle as Kobe beef - but much cheaper because I think it's raised domestically.  It costs about 2-3x as much as regular beef, but it's not hundreds of dollars a pound like Kobe beef would be.  For some reason, we haven't had it in almost a year.  I've had a few different wagyu cuts, but the wagyu steaks taste a little too fatty for my taste - the wagyu ribeye is like biting into a hunk of fat.  I prefer the wagyu skirt steak because it's normally got a little more chew, and the extra fat really enhances the flavor.

WHAT'S FOR DINNER?

You're probably saying to yourself, "Whoa!  What's with the breakfast for dinner?"  I'm still in the process of emptying out the pipes, and my digestive system can't take any more meat.  For the business majors out there, just clearing out the old inventory to make room for new inventory.

So Mrs. Fly just make me a brie omelet with some bacon, potato pancakes and salad.  Whenever you don't have anything in a while, it tastes pretty good.  As much as I talk about bacon, I don't eat bacon *that* often.  I also haven't had an omelet in a while either, so this hit the spot.
