July was decent, but nothing to write home about.  Even tho July was "below plan," I feel pretty good about where I am.  I am a much better poker player now than in January when I had my record month, and I expect better things from August.  44% of my winnings were from the 13K hands I played at the full ring tables.  Maybe I should play more often.

I think I still want to play a little 1/2 Rush, but I'll probably cut back from 2 tables to 1.  This way, I can add about 3 more 2/4+ tables - I think one of the new tables will be at least one 5/10 table, just so I can get my feet wet.

I'm not too concerned about the low win rate at Rush because that's where I do my experimenting.  The little segment on flatting 3bets light IP from chronic 3bettors didn't go too well - turns out most people with 10+% 3 bets also 3 barrel bluff oop at a high frequency, so I just ended up giving them more money.  Doh!  I also attempted to 4bet-shove low to mid pocket pairs into light 3bettors, and not sure if it's bad luck, but they show up with QQ+ A LOT for people with such high 3bets.  Maybe tight is right after all.

WHAT'S FOR DINNER?

One of the school moms invited us over for a grill-out.  TBH, I think I'm starting to get a little tired of writing about the various cookouts we go to.  And I think you guys are probably getting tired of reading about it too.  So I'll write something a little off-topic.  The woman who invited us over is just the sweetest woman - very well-grounded, thoughtful, smart, fun and pretty attractive.  But she just never met the right person so as a single woman she adopted a little girl from the USSR and that little girl is in G's grade.

But it just got me to thinking about how I know all these women who *SHOULD* be single (and possibly locked up, like in a Gitmo-type of facility so they can no longer be a danger to mankind), but have been married for a long period of time.  At the same time, there are all these great women I know who are single but just never found the right person.  Like what is going on?!?  Apparently the Romance Gods are even more cruel than the Poker Gods.
