The drive back home was a more merciful 6 hours.  The trip is less than 5 hours with no traffic, but considering it was a long holiday weekend, I'm pretty happy with 6.  We woke up early and met the in-laws for breakfast at a Cracker Barrel.  Not sure if you guys have ever been, but that's got to be one of the better chain restaurants out there.  But I did not realize it existed until after I met Mrs. Fly.  It seems to exist only next to rural highways, and since I grew up in NYC, I just never really saw one before.

As good as the food is there (most things on the menu are above average), it really wouldn't shock me if most poker players (who tend to be younger males) have never been there.  It's not really the type of place where hot women hang out.  In fact, it quite the opposite - the clientele is like a mix between a redneck convention and a overeaters anonymous meeting.  But if you like comfort food, the food's not bad.

Speaking of overeating, I didn't see much TV over the weekend, but I saw that 4th of July classic - the Nathan's hot dog eating contest.  I wasn't quite into it this year because that morning my sister in law made me a breakfast comprising of quiche and like TEN strips of bacon.  I felt like I needed to puke while watching Joey Chestnut finish off his hot dogs.

Now that I'm home, I have to get back to grinding.  I completely forgot the Tour de France started this weekend.  Did I mention I'll watch any sport, regardless of how boring it is?  I actually find cycling pretty interesting - especially watching Lance Armstrong in his comeback attempt.  Anyway, thanks to the Tour, I see three weeks of heavy grinding ahead of me.  And the British Open is only a week away!  Even tho I'm taking the first 5 days off, I think I might still get to 140K hands.  We'll see.
