My second weigh-in of the New Year was 259.5 - for a 2.6% reduction in weight.  I've only been working out 2x a week, but I guess every little bit helps. I break down my 7lb weight loss as 4lbs dump and 3lbs exercise and eating lighter.  This month is going to be really tough because it's my birthday(!!!) week and we're going away for 10 days in the middle of the month. 

For the Flys, vacationing and traveling = eating awesome new foods.  One of the places we are going is Texas.  Not sure if you guys know, but Texas is home to some of the best dead animal in the US.  It's also one of the meccas of barbecue.  My sister-in-law sent me a NY Times article on Dallas food and my mouth was watering midway thru the article.  So I'm going to have to have to really watch myself... or maybe lose most of the weight before the trip.  Anyway, I'm glad I have the 0.6% cushion before I have to post something embarrassing if I don't make weight next month.

WHAT'S FOR DESSERT?

Well, the Old Man of FT is close to another birthday.  Ahhh...  one more year closer to playing HU for rollz with the Grim Reaper.  So we went to a casual restaurant in Flushing with my family (the Flys, mom, brother's family and sister) for a quiet dinner.  My sister made me this awesome birthday cake.  You guys have only known me for a year, with my incessant talking about the joy of dead animal.  Imagine how brainwashed my sister is, having grown up with me for "over 30" years!  The center was red velvet cake with a cream cheese-based frosting, so the center looked like it was meat and fat.  Hmm...  diet vs leftover cake on the counter...  decisions decisions.
