First week of December was pretty good.  As previously mentioned, I'm a luckbox.  I thought I was up to the challenge of finally battling the SSFR luckbox, Ment, but he crushed me with his awesome rungood powers.  Obviously, I still have much to learn.  TBH, as happy as I am in making the money, I feel like I've been struggling a little this week.  Really, if it wasn't for all the breaks going my way, I think this would have been a meh week  Anyway, gotta stay hungry.  Speaking of which...

WHAT'S FOR DESSERT?

Sunday, Mrs Fly had her second annual Holiday Cookie Exchange.  I had never heard of such a thing until she mentioned it last year.  Basically, it's where a bunch of women get together and they each bring a few dozen cookies.  Then while getting hammered on various alcoholic beverages, appetizers and cookies (LDO), they start packing a bunch of cookies to take back home.  So you bring dozens of one kind of cookie...  and take home a few of dozens of types of cookies.  But what always happens is that you never want to take home nearly as many cookies as you bring, so we have tons of leftover cookies.  I have no idea what what we're going to do with all of these leftover cookies...  O wait.

This year, there were like 30 women who came.  And I knew that if I didn't take my boys out of the house, their heads (and mine) would explode from the estrogen overload.  So we went over to my mom's and spent a nice day with her.  Not sure if it was so "nice" for her, since she basically had to cook, clean and babysit three needy boys (including me!).  Aw, I'm just kidding...  she loves us!  (later post)

D had never been to an aquarium, so we decided to take him to the NY Aquarium.  I hadn't been there since G was about D's age, so it was about time.  For those of you who don't know, many zoos and aquariums have an annual pass that lets you have unlimited visits for a fee that roughly costs two or three visits (individual as well as family memberships are available).  The one in NY is especially nice because it lets you into the Aquarium, Bronx Zoo, and three other local zoos.  I'm pretty sure your local aquarium/zoo/museum has a similar program, so check it out.

I thought it would be a good way to spend a few hours, but we walked thru in about an hour and a half.  D seemed to really like the walruses... maybe because we went at feeding time.  I think I like the walruses too...  watching them made me feel a little slimmer - a feeling I hadn't had in a while.  D liked the idea of seeing sharks, but he thought it was scary after a few minutes.  He also thought the Jellyfish exhibit was scary (because the room was so dark).  He also thought the 3D movie was scary.  Yes - he's basically starting to be a big ol' wuss.  But I'm going to cut him some slack because he's only two.  :-)
