Wow.  The other day, I played the worst session ever.  I can't believe how many BIs I just pissed away doing spastic things.  I suppose it's encouraging to play so poorly and be basically flat, but it just goes to show that poker is all about making the correct small decisions consistently.  Just reviewing all the spastic hands is really pissing me off.  Like this is literally the worst I've played in over two years.  The level of poker being played now is probably the highest it's been, so being a consistent winning reg is all about taking advantage of small edges.  So when you are in the business of collecting 5-10% of ev on small pots, pissing away 25% ev on large pots makes no sense.

In more pleasant news, I organized a Secret Santa for mid-stakes full ring.  There are thirteen of us participating, so it's a nice way to spread some holiday humor with the other regs. Hopefully, we'll have some funny pics in the thread later in the year.  We limited the amount to $40, which I think is plenty to get someone a gag gift.  Serious gifts need not apply.

And I would like to bookend this post by reinforcing the fact that I'm a retard.  Sparky organized a toys for kids holiday drive, and I forgot to mention it earlier.  So far, a small group of us degenerate, good-for-nothing, soulless professional gamblers raised over $6,000 for needy kids.  I think the deadline is today, but I think unofficially, you have until Saturday night, so if you want to chip in something, it's still not too late.  Here's the thread with the details.

I'm generally a "charity at home" kind of guy.  But around the holidays, when you are reminded more about how thankful you are for what you have, it's probably not a bad idea to think about those who are less fortunate.  It's been a hard year for a lot of people, so if you can, think about reaching out in some way to the people around you or the people in your community.
