The other day, I mentioned how I had played a horrible session. I can't really go thru all the hands to pick out all the poor hands, but what I did was pick out some of the bigger or more memorable hands that I think I played poorly.  Sorry - no HH pics.

HANDS

UTG+1 (good reg) opens 3.7x, MP2 (spewy reg) flats and I decide to SQUEEZE QQ from the BB.  This is one of those plays that can be std vs come people but complete spew against others.  My reasoning was that there was an above average amount of dead money in the pot, UTG folds an above-average amount to 3bets and MP2 spews.  Unfortunately, this particular reg is "rarely" going to 4bet worse.  So when I get min 4bet on, I'm priced to call /shove even if his range is {KK+, AK}.  He had KK and I lost my monies.  I still think it's a pretty close call, but I think flatting pre might be slightly better.

BUT (nit reg) opens 2.5x, and I 3bet K6o from the SB.  And I decide to 5bet shove and get shown AK. It's good for metagame, but a very low percentage play vs someone who was only marginally getting out of line with light 4betting.

MP1 opens 3x, BUT calls, I call 98s from the SB, and reg squeezes from the BB.  There is 24BBs in the pot so I shove and get shown AK.  Actually, this one I don't think is so horrific, since I think I get a fold over half of the time, but it's not like I'm getting rich off of this play.

And the creme de la creme...  Fish opens 3x from MP2, CO flats, and I squeeze with AK.  Fish flats, CO folds.  Flop comes AQ5tt, and fish only has 68bbs (28.5bbs in the pot).  Rather than going for a bet - bet line for his stack, I mysteriously decide to go for a c/r on the flop (thinking he'll bet if he caught a piece or if he whiffed).  Well, he checks behind, a 9 3flush on the turn.  I NOW decide to bet and and 8 comes on the river, completing his JTo straight and I lose my stack.

And that's what a bad day at the office looks like.
