Q: I hate/envy you so much Fly. Perhaps do a post on how you figured out Mrs. Fly was a good cook and you knew from that moment you would wife her. BTW what did you do for food before the Mrs?
LOL. TBH, "cooking" was not one of my priorities/requirements in a wife. In fact, I didn't really care if she cooked at all. But it turns out that she edited two cookbooks and had an interest in great food. I know... Now you *really* hate me. :-) Actually the first meal she made was very meh.
IMO, cooking's not relevant what's going to make a marriage last. I'm a big believer in the "best friend" model of marriage... where you marry someone who you're going to enjoy spending time with (not just biblically). We were set up on a blind date, and the first question I asked the guy who set us up was NOT "is she hot? smart? good cook? smokin' bod? puts out? etc." It was "does she have a good sense of humor?" Actually, I only asked two other questions... "does she smoke?" and "is she super religious?" or maybe it was "is she vegetarian?" Our first date anniversary is coming up in a few weeks, so maybe I'll write more then. Before Mrs. Fly, I lived at home and my mom cooked for me. I'm an unbelievably huge Mamma's Boy. (later post)

Q: Ok be honest with me on this one. How long would you say, on average, do you spend looking for the images to go with your blog posts? I think you do a really great job at finding perfectly appropriate ones so your google skills must be world-class.
Typically, I would say 5 minutes. Finding photos for that MSG post took me literally a few minutes. For the polar bear picture, I did a search for "hangover funny" on google images and just picked the ones I thought were appropriate. The hand history posts take a little longer to come up with a theme (like maybe 10-15 minutes), but I don't spend nearly as much time writing, so it all evens out. It's actually entertaining sifting thru the funny images. If I keep up the blogging indefinitely, I'll probably start running out of images, so I'll probably have to make my own motivational posters. But I think I'm good for at least another year or two.
