Today I had a hand so epic, I'm going to devote the whole post to this hand:
HANDS
I had a first - I participated in a 4 way All In Pre Flop hand with 3 other full stacks... IN 6 MAX!!! I don't think I ever was in one of these when I played full ring with 8 other people over 1.7 million hands, let alone with only 5 other players. The only player who seemed fishy was BB (who played 44/1) and the other two seemed like decent regs. So I have three questions for you after you review the set-up:
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
Button ($765.90)
Hero (SB) ($402)
BB ($453.10)
UTG ($707.80)
MP ($388)
CO ($595.30)
Preflop: Hero is SB with K♣, K♦
UTG bets $14, 1 fold, CO calls $14, 1 fold, Hero raises to $60, BB calls $56, UTG calls $46, CO raises to $595.30 (All-In), Hero calls $342 (All-In), BB calls $393.10 (All-In), UTG calls $535.30
[Question 1: What percent of the time am I actually good here?
My answer: I literally could not see how anyone goes all-in with anything worse than JJ+ or AK, and because I have two blockers to AK, there's a really good chance one of the other players has AA. Pokerstove says I'm 30% with those assumptions. I'm getting 3 to 1 so... whatever.]
Flop: ($2045.70) 3♣, Q♦, 3♠ (4 players, 3 all-in)
[Question 2: What percent of time am I good now that the Q hit the flop?
My answer: Pokerstove says I'm now 15% to win, because AA is still ahead and so is QQ now.]
Turn: ($2045.70) 8♠ (4 players, 3 all-in)
River: ($2045.70) 5♣ (4 players, 3 all-in)
Total pot: $2045.70 | Rake: $3
[Question 3: How many of the opponents actually had a hand that was {JJ+, AK}?
My answer: Obviously I thought at least two. It's plausible CO could have had worse (as he could have been resqueezing), as well as the 44/1.]
Results:
Hero had K♣, K♦ (two pair, Kings and threes).
BB had 7♦, 7♣ (two pair, sevens and threes).
UTG had 8♥, 6♥ (two pair, eights and threes).
CO had Q♣, A♣ (two pair, Queens and threes).
Outcome: Hero won $1605, CO won $437.70
Main pot: $1608 between Hero, BB, UTG and CO, won by Hero
Side pot 1: $153.30 between BB, UTG and CO, won by CO
Side pot 2: $284.40 between UTG and CO, won by CO
Quite the epic hand I would say. Turns out I was only a 47% favorite to win the hand. I would not have guessed that NO ONE else had {JJ+, AK}. "Toto, I've a feeling we're not playing full ring anymore."
