God damn! Poker has been such a struggle lately. For most of the past week, it felt like every other day I dug myself a 5-10 BI hole and then I had to dig myself out. Last night, I was down 3K and finally manged to be up like 500. Ugh. But most of the recovery happened Oct 1, so I guess I'll have a good start to October. Considering I haven't had a "great" month since January, it's starting to wear on me a little.
If I wasn't such a luckbox at 5/10 this month would have really blown. Not sure if I need to start retooling some more. I made no money in 22K hands of 6max, which is super-frustrating too. At least I'm crushing 1/2 Rush (or I would be if I could run ev). And to top it off, I didn't even hit 100K hands!
WHAT'S FOR DINNER?
Since Mrs. Fly bailed on the blog (again!!!), I will have to talk about dinner. Mrs. Fly heard Le Cirque made some sort of potato crusted sole, so she gave it a shot. TBH, it wasn't that good. The potato flavor was so strong that it totally overpowered the delicate fish flavor. Which sort of brings me to my latest rant about how white fish is the chicken breast of the seafood world. But I'm a little tired from grinding back from yet another deficit and all the drama surrounding the FT announcements, so I'll rant about flavorless fish another day. The noodles were good tho - especially considering our burners are only 15K BTU. Maybe after I stop sucking at poker, we'll build an outdoor kitchen and put in a 60+K BTU wok station so Mrs. Fly can make great stir fry. But first, I have to stop sucking.
