I didn't think I could feel that much worse about a break-even week that I did last week, but here it is.  That massive downswing over 9K hands was one session.  At least when I run below ev, I have something to point to, where I can say, I got my money in good - and I can see progress otherwise.  But with this mess, I really have nothing to point to, other than bad "last bet" luck, where I lose on all my bluffs and I lose at showdown.  That's a gross double-whammy where my showdown line is flat to slightly down and my non-showdown line is a projectile going down.  Unlike with ev, I have no data to back up whether this was mostly bad luck or bad play.  Anyway, I think I'm still playing okay (just getting shat on by FT), but I'll have to keep an eye on things to see if this is an indicator of bigger flaws in my game.

Thankfully, because of our anniversary, I was able to take some time off to reflect, and I have a few new things I want to "try."  Unfortunately, Mrs. Fly has had a bad cold, so I haven't been able to try anything new yet.  So maybe I'll starting thinking a little about poker instead.  [Mrs Fly: "Ewwwwwww..."]

WHAT'S FOR DINNER?

What a great way to celebrate DoubleFly Anniversary week than to have one of my favorite meals ...  STEAK!  This one is a NY Strip (which is a little leaner and has more chew).  So Mrs. Fly made this awesome au poivre sauce to go with it.  TBH, the sauce was at least as good as any I've had at restaurants.  Normally, I don't like anything on my steaks, but since strip isn't one of my favorite cuts, this was perfect.  Mrs. Fly thought I should eat more roughage so she made me this enormous salad.  I'm generally not a big fan of lettuce-only salads, but Mrs. Fly's gorgonzola ranch dressing was really tasty.  Mmm.
