I'm going to out myself - lately there have been a few things I've wanted to talk about in the blog, but haven't been able to without saying something more about my background.  Anyway, that's a family photo of the Flys.  Shockingly,we haven't taken a lot of family pictures the past year.  The ones we did also had other random people in it, so this is a photo from a year and a half ago.  We pretty much all look the same, except G and D are much taller now.  But I never realized how much G and D look like each other - like a smaller mirror image or something.  Maybe they don't have different fathers after all!  Not sure why G is wearing Mrs. Fly's gloves - I'll have to be on high cross-dressing alert going forward.  BTW, Mrs. Fly is not related to the Michelin Man.

Some of you may have guessed from some of the food posts that we're Asian.  Both Mrs. Fly and I were born in South Korea, came to the US when we were very young, and are U.S. citizens.  Because we pretty much grew up here, we basically consider ourselves "Americans" - in the way we talk, think and act.  The term for it is that we're "bananas" - yellow on the outside and white on the inside.

There are actually a surprising number of Koreans playing midstakes on FT.  I've had some exchanges with JohnK and Andrew Song from the poker forums, and there are the young gaming pros - Steve Yea, EunJong Byun, YongSuk Chang, and SomYung Sim.  That's a lot of rakeback!

In case you were wondering, the "dinner club" I mention in the blog every other month is of young Korean families in the area.  The soap operas we watch are ones from Korea - they are actually very popular in many countries outside of Korea.  In future posts, I'll probably talk a little bit about Tae Kwon Do, Korean language, Korean food and Korean media.  Nothing crazy - it might just be a mention here and there. Because even tho we're Americans, we all have our roots.

Anyunghaseyo!
