Anyway, their local sushi place is a little better than the places around here. So I basically camped out in front of the sushi guys and kept ordering hand rolls. Hand rolls are easily my favorite sushi item. They didn't bring any yellowtail, but I was able to get enough eel & avocado, salmon and spicy tuna to get my fill. And believe me - "getting my fill" is no small feat. I can easily eat as much sushi as 3 to 4 people. I think I made an impression on the sushi guys - they kept calling me O'Jilla - must be some kind of Shinto deity. I've never heard of a god O'Jilla before but whatever.
Anyway, I was too busy eating to take pictures. In addition to the sushi, they had lamb chops, flank steak, and turkey burgers. They also had some pasta thing, salad, grilled veggies and a bunch of other crap I barely gave a second look to. But I remembered to take pictures of dessert. They had a subway theme (because my nephew's name could be spelled mostly with the letter of the NYC subway system). So my talented sister made a birthday cake that looked like a subway car. And my sister-in-law had over a half a dozen different desserts. The home made frozen fruit is not pictured, but I got a photo of the fruit arrangement, cookies, brownies, coffee, party favors and assorted packaged snacks. The origins of the Whale Watch are probably becoming clearer.
