Using my "Rule of 5," I should have made $5.1K this week, based on 25.5K hands.  I suppose $4.4K is decent, considering that 6K freefall I had, and my average stake was under 2/4.  I really feel like I'm playing better, but only time will tell.

I somehow fell to #75 in my rake race.  It looks like everyone was grinding really hard the first part of the month.  It's going to be a challenge getting to the top 17 this month (contrary to what I thought last month), but I'm up for it.

HUMOR

Someone I'm friendly with in the forums, tclark, started off the year playing at PokerStars.  He planned on going for Supernova Elite, which would have given him like 50% more in player rewards than Full Tilt.  This is something I was thinking of doing next year.  He came back to Full Tilt because he thought the games were a little better.  I had assumed that he was off-pace to make SNE (as most people are).  Then I find out that thru June, he had OVER 500K of the required 1,000K points.  And it brought back memories of this joke.  It's originally told with ethnicities, but I figure I've insulted enough people in the blog - no point in alienating any more:

DoubleFly, RobSainter and tclark are sitting on a raft 2 miles from shore.  They realize that with the impending storm, the best chance of survival is to try and swim for shore.

Doublefly jumps in and starts swimming, but about 1/4 of the way there, he realizes he's not going to make it, so he swims back to the raft.

RobSainter jumps in and starts swimming, but about 1/3 of the way there, he realizes he's not going to make it, so he swims back to the raft.

tclark jumps in and starts swimming, but about 1/2 of the way there, he realizes he's not going to make it, so he swims back to the raft.

(it may take a few seconds for the joke to kick in)

Welcome back, tclark!
