Week 1 was pretty good, considering I was quite a slacker.  I thought yesterday was going to be a huge grinding day, but I just wasn't in the mood to play a long session.  Maybe it's from not playing for 3 or 4 days, but I felt a little out-of-snyc multitabling.  So just took my $2K and called it a day.  The nice thing about poker is that if I don't feel like playing one day, I don't have to.  Instead, I watched a few videos and worked on the blog, so I still had a reasonably productive evening.  Marathon session tomorrow (hopefully).

I don't know why I never mentioned this before, but here's a tip for people who can't do math.  Whenever you see a 2/4 graph and they make 20 cents a hand, that's 2.5ptbb.  And on a 1/2 graph, 10 cents a hand would be 2.5ptbb.  Since 2.5ptbb is my target long term win rate (and imo a respectable number for a "good reg"), I just look at the number of hands I play a week and divide by 5 or 10 (depending on whether I played 2/4 or 1/2 that month) to see if I did well.  This week for example, I played13k hands.  I divide by 5 (to get 20 cents a hand), and that gets me to $2.6K.  Since I made more than that, and my average stake was less than 2/4, that's a very good week.

LOL.  I thought this was a good tip, but in re-reading it again, I think I may just end up confusing as many people as this helps.  So if you are one of the confused people, just ignore the tip and move on.

WHAT'S UP WITH DINNER?!?

TBH, I'm getting a little sick of lobster.  Kind of reminds me of when I was a kid in the colonial days.  Back then, only the poor kids ate lobster (because lobsters were so plentiful and they do sort of look like bugs).  Funny how things come full circle in 300 years.

But there's some weird stuff happening with food prices lately.  We've now gotten to the point where foods like lobster and steak cost as much as vegetables.  I'm not really complaining, but I feel like I'm in bizarro world.  When we got those $3.99/lb ribeyes and porterhouses, the same store had eggplants, artichokes, mushrooms and some other veggie for the same price.  Anyway, if you hear I died from eating too much steak and exploded because I didn't eat enough roughage to cleanse the pipes, you know what happened.
