For the year, I made around $208K, which is a far cry from the $500K goal I set for myself. Granted, $500K was a little lofty, but I thought I would at least get to $300K. Sigh. Anyway, I think it's interesting to note that the middle stretch where I predominantly played 1/2 (with a little 2/4) FR is where I had the most stable earnings. Not sure if you remember me saying that if you play for a living, it's better to play a slightly lower stake and a lower variance game, all other things being equal.
As for stakes,I'm not sure what "$1/2 NL" is, since I don't recall playing 1/2 other than for Rush. So I think a bunch of hands must've gotten imported incorrectly. A 1.6ptbb win rate is hard to get excited about, but tbh, considering how much of a struggle most of the year seemed, I'm surprised it was that "high." And my former co-worker blog followers will laugh when they see that I paid more in rake than I made in earnings. Because my M.O. at my bank was that my brokers made more money than I did. Pretty soon, my new nickname will be "a poker site's wet dream."
I forgot to break out my results by number of players - I'll add it later (maybe as a later post). But I'm pretty sure I broke even playing 6max. But a few months ago, I figured out one of the reasons why (but haven't played 6max since), so I'll be looking to correct that in 2011. My 2/4 results are much better for FR than the above. As a result, I'll probably focus more on full ring next year. With the popularity of Rush, I don't think full ring is going anywhere any time soon.
